John Flowers joining Peak Wooten McDaniel & Colwell LLP

We are so proud of John Flowers, who will be joining Peak Wooten McDaniel & Colwell LLP as an associate attorney this fall, for being named Best Oralist and winning the National Moot Court Competition in New York, NY along with his partner Zach Mullinax. This is a tremendous accomplishment for John, Zach, and Mercer Law School. Katie Powers, the Director of Mercer’s Advocacy Program, has done an amazing job with this team and the entire Mercer Advocacy Program during her short time at the helm.

The Annual National Moot Court competition is co-sponsored by the New York City Bar Association and the American College of Trial Lawyers. This is appellate advocacy competition has over 120 law schools from across the country compete in a series of regional competitions in November 2022 with a limited number of schools advancing to the national finals. This year, the national finals were held in New York City from January 30 to February 2, 2023.
